Receta is written, directed and produced by Mike Mantas, a Canadian born of Greek immigrants.

Mike Mantas  is an actor, film scholar and contemporary filmmaker whose background as an ascetic and healer informs a holistic narrative in which the personal and universal are woven into a multidimensional narrative of Self.  Mantas is a Ph.D. candidate in Film Studies at Newport International Film School, University of South Wales.  His dissertation topic is on subjectivity in film.
